Description:

EFFIO is a digital signal processor (DSP) developed by Sony for video surveillance cameras. It can provide high resolution image quality, high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and high color reproduction capability for video.

Effio DSP supports NTSC-standard 480K effective pixel CCD, and PAL specification 570K effective pixel CCD. With the Effio DSP and the new CCD, the resolution of more than 650 TVL levels can be achieved. Compared with the standard camera, this method can provide a clearer image. Its color signal processor provides ideal color brightness and concentration balance.

The Effio DSP supports Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) CCDs, which can also display clear images in environments where backlight and brightness contrast are extremely high. Effio DSP can improve the performance of “Super HAD CCD II”. Sony’s image sensors have a high degree of stability and sensitivity and are widely deployed in surveillance cameras.

Effio DSP combines 2D and 3D noise reduction functions to achieve dynamic resolution even when shooting moving objects. In addition, the Effio DSP incorporates peripheral circuitry that not only reduces camera size but also reduces power consumption.
